Create a BEP-20 token on BNB Smart Chain

TokenSet lets you create a BEP-20 token on BNB Smart Chain from your own wallet in a few minutes, with no code. Pick a standard or tax template, set the name, symbol, decimals, and supply, then review the exact network fee and TokenSet commission before you confirm. The token is deployed in one transaction, the full supply goes to your wallet, and its real tax, limits, and ownership are shown plainly.

What is a BEP-20 token?

A BEP-20 token is a fungible token on BNB Smart Chain that follows the BEP-20 standard, which mirrors Ethereum's ERC-20. It defines how balances, transfers, and approvals work, so wallets, explorers, and decentralized exchanges on BNB Smart Chain can support any BEP-20 token without custom integration.

How to create a BEP-20 token on BNB Smart Chain

  1. Connect your wallet. Connect a wallet on BNB Smart Chain that holds enough BNB to pay the network fee and the TokenSet commission.
  2. Choose a template. Pick Standard for a plain token with optional mint, burn, and pause, or Tax for buy and sell tax with wallet and transaction limits.
  3. Set the parameters. Enter the name, symbol, decimals, and total supply, plus the tax rates, limits, and tax recipient if you chose the Tax template.
  4. Review the cost and token state. Check the network fee estimate, the TokenSet commission, and a plain summary of the token's tax, limits, and ownership before confirming.
  5. Confirm in your wallet. Approve the single transaction. The factory deploys your token, mints the full supply to your wallet, and returns the token address.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to create a BEP-20 token?
You pay two things in BNB: the network gas fee for the deploy transaction, which is usually small on BNB Smart Chain but changes with network demand, and the TokenSet commission. Both are shown as exact amounts on the review screen before you confirm, and the commission is collected in the same transaction, so there are no later charges.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You fill in a form with the token's name, symbol, decimals, supply, and options, and TokenSet turns it into a call to the TokenSet factory contract. Your wallet signs one transaction. Developers can still read the deployed token on a block explorer like any other BEP-20 contract.
What is the difference between the Standard and Tax templates?
A Standard token is a plain BEP-20 token with optional mint, burn, and pause features and an option to renounce ownership at deploy. A Tax token adds a buy tax and a sell tax on trades with DEX pairs the owner registers, a tax recipient wallet, and optional max wallet and max transaction limits set as a share of total supply.
Who owns the token after it is created?
The wallet that sends the create transaction becomes the owner, and the full initial supply is minted to it. TokenSet does not hold your token or keep admin rights over it. If you choose to renounce ownership at deploy, owner-only functions are disabled permanently, which buyers often read as a lower-risk signal.
Can I change the tax or limits later?
No. Buy tax, sell tax, max wallet, and max transaction are fixed when the token is created. The owner can only register DEX pairs and exclude addresses from tax and limits. If ownership is renounced, those settings are frozen too. The tax and limits are public on-chain, so buyers can verify them independently.
Is there a maximum tax?
The contract only enforces the technical limit: each tax can be set from 0 to 100 percent, written as 0 to 10,000 basis points. TokenSet does not add a lower cap. High taxes are shown plainly on the review screen and on the token page, because buyers often treat them as a risk signal.
What should I choose for decimals?
Most BEP-20 tokens use 18 decimals, the same as BNB, and that is a safe default. Decimals set how finely a token can be divided; they do not change its value. You can choose any whole number from 0 to 18, but it cannot be changed after the token is created.
Is a BEP-20 token the same as an ERC-20 token?
They follow the same interface, so the code and wallet behavior are nearly identical, but they live on different chains. A BEP-20 token exists on BNB Smart Chain and an ERC-20 token exists on Ethereum. Moving a token between the two needs a bridge or a separate deployment on each chain.
Does creating a token give it a price or liquidity?
No. Creating a token mints the supply to your wallet, but it has no market price until someone adds liquidity, for example by pairing it with BNB on a decentralized exchange. Adding liquidity is a separate step with its own costs and risks, and it is not part of the create transaction.
